Valerie Elise Plame Wilson was born on April 19, 1963 in Anchorage, Alaska. She attended Pennsylvania State University where she graduated in 1985 with a degree in advertising. She then went on to earn two master's degrees. One from the London School of Economics and Political Science and another from the College of Europe in Belgium. Not only does she speak English, but she also speaks French, German, and Greek. She applied for the CIA right out of college and thus began her 20 year career with them.
In 2003, Valerie was working as a CIA operations agent when her identity was leaked in the newspaper by Rob Novak. Her husband had written an article in the New York Times about the government using Weapons of Mass Destruction as a justification for invading Iraq. This act turned her world upside down and she (along with her husband) began efforts to fight back.
Joseph C. Wilson

Joe Wilson is the husband of Valerie Plame. He was born on November 6, 1949 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he didn't take studying seriously. After a brief career as a carpenter, Wilson became serious about education and went on to become an Ambassador for the United States government. Along with his wife, he also speaks French and English. After his marriage to Plame, Wilson was sent by the CIA to Niger to confirm or deny rumors of the country possessing amounts of uranium ore. After this trip and after he had reported that these rumors were false, Wilson published an article on July 6, 2003 entitled "What I Didn't Find in Africa", speaking out against the reasons why America went to war. He explains that those reasons were unethical and that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Niger. In his book, Wilson discusses his dedication to finding truth and defending what he knows to be right. This characteristic serves him well in defending his wife while her career was being destroyed.
I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby

Scooter Libby was the chief of staff for the Vice President at the time of Plame's outage. He was born on August 22, 1950. He held his position from 2001-2005 when we was outed for perjury and other public offenses. According to The Huffington Post, "...He was convicted in 2007 of perjury, obstruction of justice and making false statements in a case involving leaked information that compromised the covert identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame. Libby's 2 1/2-year prison sentence was commuted by then-President George W. Bush."
